Participation in School Sports Events

Taking part in school sports tournaments and festivals is extremely beneficial for children. It helps to develop their skills in many areas, apart from fitness, providing opportunities for the development of teamwork, physical coordination, social interaction and perseverance. All sporting participation demands respect for others, and self discipline, in order to improve skills and follow rules. It is also important to be able to accept losing, and appreciate oponents. Children who take part can also develop their self confidence, which will have a positive impact on other aspects of their learning.

At St Joseph's we encourage team members to do their best, and to enjoy the game.

Please refer to our code of conduct for sporting events, below.

Other Sporting News

We are delighted that Jake Edwards (Y6) has been selected and given the opportunity to play in an International football Tournament in Lithuania, for Bath and Wiltshire Boys. (BWB03).

This amazing opportunity for Jake has come from the help of St Joseph’s school and Mrs Wickham who handed out the application. Jake has also been to Denmark in the summer, and played against English Premier league Academies and a Scottish Premier league Academy - a great experience! Well done Jake!
