Welcome to Year 6's Class Page!

Welcome to Year 6!

Welcome to the beginning of a new academic year.  I just know that this is going to be the very best Year 6 yet!  I am sure the children will settle in quickly to the high expectations and new routines of Year 6 and flourish as leaners and individuals.

Mrs Dewar will be our Teaching Assistant, working in Year 6 each morning and Miss Hitchcott will be supporting us each afternoon.  Mrs Griffin will teach the class on a Friday to allow me to catch up on paperwork and other Assistant Head responsibilities.  .

PE Lessons will be on a Monday afternoon.  Please don't forget your kit!  It would be really helpful if the children had at least their trainers in school everyday.  This helps us to be a little more flexible with our Year 6 timetable.  We also have a very exciting opportunity, working with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and their Forest School provision.  Please see the accompanying letter about this, as there will be a requirement to bring in suitable clothing in order to be able to attend.

Please see below the class newsletter for this term.  It includes an overview of our core learning for this term and suggested activities that could be completed at home.

The spellings for the term are also attached below.  The spellings will be handed out on  Monday and the test will be on a Thursday.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to come and see me.

Mrs Gullen :)
